Bathroom Renovations

Frameless glass, proper waterproofing, tile that lines up and fixtures that last.

Bathrooms, step by step

How we run this job.

The same seven steps on every Pross bathroom. Most of the work that matters ends up behind the tile, so none of it gets skipped.

  1. Quote in writing

Victor looks at the room, the plumbing and the ventilation, then writes the quote with every payment tied to a milestone. It's free.

  2. Permits pulled

A plumbing permit for new fixtures, and a building permit if walls move. We apply early, so the wait happens before demolition instead of in the middle of it.

  3. Asbestos checked If needed

Old tile adhesive, vinyl flooring and drywall mud can contain asbestos in homes built before 1990. We test before we open anything up.

  4. Build

Down to the studs where it needs it, then proper waterproofing behind every wet wall, tile laid out so the cuts land where they should, and fixtures set level.

  5. Site swept

Dust walls up, the hallway protected, and everything swept every evening, so the rest of the house stays livable.

  6. Walk-through

We run every tap and check every seal and the glass with you, punch list in hand.

  7. Keys back

Grout cured, glass polished, and the room is yours again.

Questions

Bathroom questions, answered straight.

How long do bathroom permits take?

A plumbing permit for new fixtures is usually quick, often a week or two. If walls move or you're adding a bathroom, a building permit can take several weeks, depending on your municipality. We apply early, so the wait happens before demolition, not in the middle of it.

What's included in the quote?

Everything it takes to finish the room: demolition and disposal, plumbing and electrical by licensed trades, waterproofing, tile, fixtures, glass, paint and cleanup. Every payment is tied to a milestone. If you're choosing some fixtures yourself, the quote says so plainly.

How long will the bathroom be out of use?

Most bathrooms take four to eight weeks from demolition to the final walk-through. Waterproofing and grout need time to cure properly, and we build that time into the schedule instead of rushing it. You get the schedule in writing before we start.

What if it's our only bathroom?

Tell us at the walk-around. We plan the order of work to keep the days without a working toilet as few as possible, and we talk through the options for those days before we start.
